— BOOZE NEWS: With reports that Canada could use the prospect of returning U.S. alcohol to our shelves as a bargaining chip during trade talks, where does Ford stand? The Premier has dug in his heels on the matter, saying he won’t re-stock American booze until there’s a “fair deal” on the table. Prime Minister MARK CARNEY had backed up the First Ministers who took a hard line on the booze boycott at this summer’s Council of the Federation meeting, but the big question is whether Ford — one of the more hawkish among them — is softening.
