First in Observer — Open disclosure season continues! Today I’ve got a peek at the annual Liberal returns, which cover income and expenses for 2025. Here’s who got the biggest slices of the pie:

  • Data Sciences, the keeper of the party’s voter-contact software and membership database, Liberalist: $600,198 for research and polling, plus another $236,095 filed under “other programs expense”

  • Bellwether Technologies (founded by Mainstreet’s QUITO MAGGI): $156,196 for research and polling

  • The Sheraton Centre, the venue for last September’s convention at which BONNIE CROMBIE ultimately resigned following a 57-per-cent leadership review: $538,178

  • DAVID INNES, a former candidate and IT lead for the Grits: $98,535 to cover professional fees, plus another $50,398 under “other programs”

  • StackAdapt: $112,914 for advertising

  • Poliscience, sister company to Grit pollster DON GUY’s Pollara: $40,228 for research and polling

  • KATHRYN McGARRY, party president: $20,809 for “meetings …
