ABOUT TIME
DOUG FORD takes to the podium in Ottawa this afternoon (at last!) alongside MARK CARNEY in what is expected to be an announcement for more supports for tariff-hit sectors.
But first: The post-shuffle moves continue.
CABINET COMMITTEE SHAKEUP — The Ford government is again rearranging the deck chairs on the Management Board of Cabinet and of the Treasury Board — which functions as the operational backbone of government, overseeing everything from HR to spending.
The cabinet committee is typically led by the head of the Treasury, so new-ish Minister KINGA SURMA is taking over as chair, while Finance Minister PETER BETHLENFALVY — who served as chair after then-minister CAROLINE MULRONEY’s summer exit — reverts to vice-chair, replacing Transportation Minister PRABMEET SARKARIA, who remains a member.
The rest of the roster remains the same: Ministers ROB FLACK — who joined in summer — STEPHEN CRAWFORD, VIC FEDELI, MICHAEL KERZNER, TODD McCARTHY, MICHAEL PARSA.
Up next, possibly: …
