It’s been a rough 72 hours for Minister STAN CHO.

Premier DOUG FORD is in damage control mode after Global News broke news that PC MPPs from the GTA billed more than $100K for Toronto hotels in recent years. That includes Willowdale rep and Tourism Minister Cho, who billed $16K for overnight stays despite living 6km away and having access to a government-paid vehicle and driver. The Liberals even put out a cheeky social media clip timing his TTC commute — it’s less than 30 minutes away.

Ford has broken his silence on the matter, which has blown up big time and has been particularly damaging to his gravy-train-stopping brand.

“The party with the taxpayers’ dollars are over,” Ford said in a brief walk-and-talk with Global, hearkening back to his 2018 slogan that Oppo critics are now using against him.

Dead giveaway the Premier is ticked off: he used the reporter’s name. He also reportedly read MPPs the riot act at a caucus me…
