Premier DOUG FORD got feisty at the podium, ripping into reporters, protesters, pollsters — anyone pointing out his popularity is in the dumps — and insists he’s not going anywhere even as the rumour mill starts churning out potential successors. Highlights:
“All you’ve done is attack me since I’ve been up here,” Ford said defensively when asked about getting booed by OPSEU protesters on his own turf at Ford Fest, drowning out much of his speech and causing him to be whisked away immediately after, rather than shake hands and pose for selfies among the crowd — something the Premier personally loves to do. The union also showed up at yesterday’s announcement in Toronto.
Ford didn’t specifically address the now-infamous edited photo that his office claims was meant to lessen an orange hue, and which also wound up turning purple-clad protesters Tory blue. He did accuse the union of bringing in protesters by the busload and using “very vulgar language…the F-word,…
