FORD PIVOTS FROM JET FALLOUT TO LIBERAL PILE-ON

Premier DOUG FORD looks to land the plane, er, as it were, by revealing the true cost of his one-eighty after a rough couple of weeks in the headlines. He also landed a few Ford-isms — and, like y’all, he had plenty to say about the latest mess in Liberal land.

The Globe and Mail’s LAURA STONE snagged a one-on-one with Ford in the halls of Queen’s Park just before PO circulated the jet receipts, and in true Ford form, it was a telling scrum.

Asked how he can justify the nearly $200K in additional costs for his plane, Ford stuck to his lines. “We listened to the people, it was the wrong time, and we sent it back. But anyways,” he said, then delivered one of the telltale signs that he’s annoyed with the line of questioning: “Next question,” he said to the sole reporter.

While $190,865 in extra costs — including legal advice, storage and maintenance — might seem like a drop in the bucke…
