If you’re getting last-day-of-school vibes at Queen’s Park today, that’s because it most likely is. And it could be another endless summer.

While we won’t know for sure until Government House Leader STEVE CLARK moves a motion to adjourn two days earlier than scheduled — something he’s widely expected to do — government MPPs have been told to prepare for an early recess. Ditto Legislative staff around the Precinct.

Hint, hint: There’s not much left on the Order Paper, and this morning MPPs will chug through the end-of-session ritual of dealing with private bills. Bill 119, the last government act on the Clerk’s table, is up for a second-reading vote after Question Period. There’s also some PMB and adjournment debates scheduled for later, but some expect the House to recess earlier than the usual 6 p.m.
