RECEIPTS REVEALED — I’ve been parsing annual party returns at Elections Ontario, and today, we’re digging into the NDP’s books.

Remember that these 2025 returns won’t include campaign spending and expenses for the snap election in February. — you can check those out here.

While the PC returns showed the usual suspects getting the biggest payouts, what’s notable in the NDP’s is how much they coughed up for the September convention at which Leader MARIT STILES got a weak 68 per cent for the post-election leadership review.

The total fundraising income from the Niagara event clocked in at $20,005 (with $13,220 filed under contributions and another $3,205 from the silent auction).

The spend blew that out of the water, including:

  • $207,933 to the Niagara Falls Convention Centre

  • $302,122 to Project X Productions, for staging

  • $105,980 to Stronco Designs for signage

  • $93,589 to block out rooms at the Hilton, plus another $47,151 to the Marriott
