The Star and others are now reporting what my sources have been buzzing about for weeks — that the ex-Liberal cabinet minister is seriously considering mounting a bid for OLP captain.
“Sources close to the one-time industry and science minister say his phone has been ‘blowing up’ with Liberals urging him to run provincially,” per the Star.
Bains’s would-be opponents are watching his next move closely.
One high-level provincial operative was overheard telling anyone who would listen at last weekend’s federal convention that Bains apparently already has some rivals shaking in their boots.
