Premier DOUG FORD got pretty nasty in the House during the last Question Period before a constituency week break — and right before his government voted to pass the hot-potato, fast-tracked budget omnibus bill that most notoriously guts freedom of information laws.
The legislation has seen his popularity slip further in the polls, even among his base.
Not helping his polling prospects: Ford still seems salty over his decision to return the nearly $30-million private jet following major backlash. He’s been playing defence (often unprovoked) on the flip-flop all week — insisting the plane was necessary, but not having the political guts to stand by it. And his antics in Thursday’s debate has even his own party’s insiders snickering that he’s “bitter” over losing the jet.
