First in Observer — It’s that time of year again, when political parties hand in their annual spending receipts. I trekked down to Elections Ontario headquarters in North York to crack open the binders for 2025, and today, we’re digging into how much and to whom the ruling PCs paid out.

But first, a quick caveat: These annual returns would not include specific campaign spending for the 2025 snap election. You can check those out here.

Here’s who got the biggest slices of the PC pie…

  • Creative Currency, headed up by DENNIS MATTHEWS, ex-STEPHEN HARPER ad man, and the architect of the PCs 2022 “Get it Done” slogan, the RONALD REAGAN ad spot and more, got $1,501,485 for advertising, comms and media

  • Campaign Research and Campaign Support, PC pollster NICK KOUVALIS’s firms, got a combined $819,017 for research, polling and outreach
